Well, I'm totally off Ropinirole since I dropped the last 0.25mg almost a week ago. I started at 3mg, then went to 2, then 1, then 0.5, then 0.25, now to 0. Each drop was both challenging, but exciting. It was challenging because my nights were more difficult, but exciting because the augmentation was clearly decreasing. Now, every night over the last week I've been able to track my improved sleep on my sleep app tied to my Apple Watch. I still clearly have RLS, and my legs twitch pretty severely approximately on a one minute cycle. But I fall asleep quickly, and I can sleep through it. And now the RLS diminishes greatly in the second half of the night, and the daytime symptoms have dropped off practically altogether. I haven't tried going to a show yet, but yesterday I drove in a car for about 8 hours and managed it just fine.
I've been sleeping in a different bed from my wife due to the resumption of the jerking in my legs as I've been weaning off Ropinirole, which is sub-optimal. So I may try Kratom to see if that can control the RLS in a way that doesn't cause augmentation or other negative effects. Anyone else's experience is welcome.

Hi B, well done. Doesn’t sound all that bad now. And from my own experience and that of others here, it will take at least another three weeks before the ropinirole has no effect any more. So you may have to sit tight and wait and see what happens with your rls and your sleep. Hope it keeps on going well.
Can’t advise you about the kratom; no experience. But would love to hear your experiences with it, and its effect on both your rls and sleep.
Congratulations. I would have found the same coming off the Neupro patch - it was tough but I was excited as the augmentation dropped. Add to that my old personality is resurfacing (was so angry and irritable I had come to see myself like that now I am able to take things much less seriously and its much harder to get annoyed).
Kratom is a great drug for RLS, and much less harmful than the DA's.
Well done I was on 1mg sometimes 1.5mg and symptoms were getting worse in the day and into my shoulders my doctor kept trying to increase mt dose but I resisted having read posts on this site I knew it was Augmentation well in a way I hoped it was otherwise my symptoms were getting worse. She said no other treatment and asked me what I had seen! Any that was 2 weeks ago she stopped me taking the Ropinirolee that day and I started on 30/500 co co-codimol and .25 mg x3 times a day pregabalin as yiu have found my day rsl has stopped fingers crossed and I too managed a car journey with no problems this week. Night time withdrawals have been shocking and I've had full nights with rsl and no sleep. I'm still haveing rsl symptoms in the night and take an extra pregabalin and 1 co codimol and this settles me after a while. I'm thinking I'm still in withdrawal as well? I'm taking slow iron twice a day and magnesium twice a day and cut out lanzoprosal and taking half dose of citalopram 10mg as I've been told these medications make rsl worse. Does anyone take Pregabalin and if so when do they take dose? I'm having 125mg at 8pm then 2x25mg directly before bed and 1 in night if necessary. Will it help to spread the dose?
