Anyone tried this? I was in London last weekend and walked into a Chinese herbalists asking about acupuncture and was given the above treatment instead as well as a drink to mix up twice a day. I managed to go out for a meal with no rls for two night running (!!!) until it crept back in the third night. Am going for more treatment on sun so will keep you posted!

Wicksgang, I've had three goes at Chinese medicine - accupuncture and cups, neither of which helped with RLS (although it gave me some relief with my arthritic knee). The herbal medicine was indescribably foul - boil weird vegetable matter for two hours, then drink, twice a day. The stink reached the far edges of the village. I realised I would rather die than continue after a week of it. Almost all it relieved me of (apart from my knee) was rather a lot of money I couldn't afford.

I was always discouraged from leaving until I'd made another appointment, so much so that I was forced to make an appointment I never intended to keep, just to escape from there.

I wish you all the best. I know accupuncture is successful in many cases, but for me, not for RLS. Sorry for the discouragement.

I tried this several years ago. The acupuncurist didn't have any experience of treating rls but he did try some treatment. Unfortunately it didn't work for me!

My experience was the same as lorrinet. I went to the Camden Centre which has visiting professors from Beijing. They told me acupuncture couldn’t help RLS as it was based in brain (true) but they thought the very expensive disgusting herbs would help. Like Lorrinet, I couldnt face the taste or the smell any more so stopped after a month.

They didn’t help at all.

Good luck but be careful about spending too much money.
