Medication for my RLS.....

I've suffered for 10 years. After years of restless nights and visits to the Drs I was reffered to the hospital. After many visits I've been prescribed Requip XL 2mg. I take this 2 hours before bedtime. If I'm late taking it I can suffer all night. My legs feel like they are crawling with 1000 spiders, painful joints that kick out.

Hi Gary. I feel your pain. Haven't tried that drug, i take Pramipexil. My GP has also given me iron tablets as my iron is low and apparently that can cause RLS ? We shall see what happens!

Hi Gary,

Sounds like you have periodic limb movement disorder as well. If you have a mobile phone, I would suggest you set an alarm to remind you to take your medication.

If you find later down the line your symptoms are getting worse, you probably will have augmentation from taking requip (turns against you) and will probably have to change to another medication.
