Hi Folks, thank you all for info on Ropinirole,I will give it a miss.

On brighter note,I have been using a 'Sound-Gun' I got from

Boots chemist on my legs; about 5mins on each leg, especially

around knee area--behind knee,in centre, there is an acupuncture

point,so make sure it is done a little more;also move up by about

6in. to back of thigh too,and down calfs and side of thighs and knees.

It has worked for 8 straight nights without a tremor. Will keep you

posted of progress,I have hunch this may be the one!

Kind Regards,

jimindigo

Searched Boots for "sound gun" but nothing comes up. Is there a brand name/more detailed name? I'm sure lots of people on here would try it but we would need more info to do so. Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Jools

Hi jimindigo,

Found a little pen device on Boots website called "paingone" for £34.99 and it has some good reviews for pain relief and a 30 day return policy if it doesn't work.

Think my hubby can buy me this for Xmas. I can add it to my treasure trove of devices/gadgets used so far for RLS. Let's hope it works for more of us on here.

Fingers and legs crossed.

Merry Xmas Jools

Another gadget of a different type is a Medipen. I think the jury is still out on how much pain they help with. I have one but confess I have been a bit hesitant in my use of it so far.

yep, I've got the medipen one as well. I'm an RLS magpie!

It doesn't do anything for my RLS but it does have a relaxing effect when you're sitting in the dark with the legs twitching away.

I think the real stuff is better for RLS but it gave me panic attacks ( which I'd never had in my life before) so had to stop. At least I no longer have to ask my teenage kids to be illegal drug suppliers!!

I'll report back once I've tried the paingone pen.

The panic was because you were taking too much, less can be more in this arena! Also a little sugary treat afterwards can help that anxiety too.

Thanks for that info Raffs. Might venture into the twilight zone once more!

Merry Xmas

IF it is full cannabis in the pen, (not just CBD) then the jury has reported that cannabis is very effective against pain, spasms, insomnia, depression and anxiety to name but a few!

It does sound (pardon the unintentional pun) very interesting!

I have found that Paingone only works on very directed pan spots. It has worked for me but not when the pain is more widespread

HI there, have been away off the site for a while, but have found some quiet time to have a catch up! Am intrigued by the Medipen, have just googled it on Amazon and eBay with different results. The eBay search comes up with an aromatherphy type pen and Amazon is an alternative vapping pen with cannabis in it! Is this legal? Does it help RLS? Interesting..........
