They are a con ,there is no evidence that putting a copper bracelet on your wrist helps RLS.The experts were asked about this and their opinion is there is no way they can work . Of course the placebo effect can be very strong. ....

Hi Bonytony, I have purchased the copper bracelets. They cost me £20 off the internet. You are only supposed to wear them during the day and not at night which is when the RLS usually clicks in. They did not work for me in fact I have given them to my daughter as she suffers from pain in her hip so she was trying them out for that condition. Anyway everyone reacts differently. Some people say they have helped and others not, the only advice I would give you is if you have a spare £20, try them, then let us know how you get on. Cheers Jimeka

Hi jimeka, I don't normally post on here anymore but having read your comments I thought I should point out that Halcyon Bracelets are actually worn at bedtime and taken off in the morning, not during the day unless symptoms come on, then they can be worn intermittently until RLS subsides. This is in the leaflet supplied and also on the website, so I'm sorry if you misunderstood the instructions. I do hope that you didn't give them away before being able to use them in the correct way.

Hallucination bracelets?

It must be very upsetting for the lady who supplies these bracelets to read such cynically toned comments on this website. I believe her to be perfectly sincere in her claims and I understand that the testimonials she publishes are authentic. I bought one of the bracelets and, although it didn't work for me, my dealings with her, when I mistakenly bought the wrong size, we're kind and quick, indeed she returned to me the stamps I had enclosed for the repeat postage. By all means say that it didn't work for you, but there's no need to make "clever" and hurtful remarks while doing so.

People might be fairer if the reviews published on the website were fairer? We have heard from numerous people that their negative feedback/testimonials have been deleted from the website/Facebook page.

Here is why many of us do not put any trust in the lady who sells the copper bracelets.

Even now after she got firm ruling from the ASA she has still not changed the wording.

As mentioned before, I don't tend to comment on here anymore but sometimes things need to be addressed. I have posted separately to Jimeka as it was mentioned that the bracelets are worn in the day and this is incorrect. They are worn overnight and only during the day/evening if symptoms come on then. With regards to the ASA ruling which Elisse has posted on here. The ASA is a private limited company funded by advertising agencies. They are a self appointed body and have no legal authority and are not a government body. They take it upon themselves to be judge and juror and make up their own rules. There is an organisation called Freedom4health that is fighting the cause for alternative therapies and you can read about the ASA on there if you wish. Just this week there has been a parliamentary debate about The ASA and the way in which they are causing untold grief to many providers of alternative therapies. They may take out ads so that when people google your product their self appointed adjudication comes up and people think it is a legal body, very misleading (something for which they judge other's advertising) but good enough for them. And in South Africa a case has just be upheld by a complaint which basically says that if you aren't a member of The ASA, they have no right to discriminate against you. I hope that comes to the UK. Their adjudication on Halcyon Bracelets a year ago resulted in certain elements that they did not uphold but both the testimonials and refund policy were found to be true, honest, upheld and evidence given for both. Finally, there are some people, I get it, that the bracelets have not been able to help but on the whole there are many many more that are getting help. With all due respect, there are about 4000 RLS members on here which is a great and worthy support group, but in the scheme of things, is very small compared to the 6 million sufferers in the UK alone. Of these members only a few have tried the bracelets. Some people make very negative and untrue comments and they have not even tried them, some have tried them without success and leave honest comments. Some have tried them with great success but when they have posted on here, they have been accused of colluding with me or making it up. They end up in a witch hunt. They have received abuse and been very upset. So I do advise anyone mentioning about making positive comments on here to not get involved, as much as they want to defend the bracelets. So I think you would have seen more positive remarks on here if there was less nastiness to positive remarks. Although as mentioned, I don't think that many people on here have even tried them.
