Well my visit to the docs didn't transpire exactly how I thought it would!! I was expecting to get a different drug to try and maybe get my anti-depressant changed. Instead...

She wasn't keen on changing my medication. Instead I'm to reduce the amount of Sertraline, with the intention of coming off it altogether (scary thought). (I was put on Sertraline after the menopause as I was very weepy, hot flushes etc) you name it, I had it!!!

Anyway, she also suggested I reduce and eventually come of HRT!!! I did however mention that this is not going to help at the moment.....so she promptly gave me sleeping pills!!!I'm to keep a diary of my RLS and any changes due to reducing the medication.

So! Thoughts anyone? Do you think NOT being on other medication will help reduce RLS symptoms?

Hi Eileen,

International RLS Day is on 23 September and I see from the RS-UK FB page that a RLS Monitor will be launched on the RLS-UK website on that day.

During a consultation with your GP there is limited time available and it can be hard to effectively communicate your symptoms.

This ‘tracker’ has been produced to help you keep a record of your symptoms, to enable you to report more comprehensively to your doctor.

There are five sections in the RLS Monitor to track symptoms for seven days, which will help to spot patterns or compare with previous monitoring. It will also help keep a check on medication.

This may help you greatly Eileen as you have been asked to write details of how your RLS behaves, for your GP.
