Good luck, hope they work for you. I was on Ropinirole but eventually my body got used to them and I had to change to Neupro patches. God knows when I will have to change again.

Gonzo, same here. How long have you been on the patch, and what dosage? I am slowly transitioning to the patch. From 6 mg Ropinirole, down to 1.5- 2 mg and 2 mg Neupro. Was in augmentation, but definitely seeing good improvement.

Hi, I'm on 8mg which is quite high but my Neurologist gave me an EMG and said I had nerve damage and needed a higher dose, but I am dreading augmentation sometime in the future. God knows where I will go from there.. Hope you improve.

That is a very high dose of the patch, 8mg should never be given for RLS. 3mg patch is the highest dose recommended for RLS. I am worried that augmentation is round the corner for you.

I am also taking another tablet Doc. recommended because ropinorole was easing off. It's called Clonazepam, working really well.

Hi Elisse, I understand what you are saying but the Consultant put me on this amount together with Clonazapan should I need it at night, which I try not to use. I hope I don't get augmentation. Is it certain that every case will eventually get augmentation. I seem to have a high resistance to any drug treatment and am always given higher dosages.. I do worry that augmentation might eventually happen and do not know what will happen then.

Hi Gonzo, no not everyone using the dopamime agonists will get augmentation but the higher the dosage of meds the greater the chance of it.This is why we are concerned. It happened to me even on quite a low dose

Hi everyone who gave me their experiences and advise. I am very grateful. I expect I will just have to wait and see what happens. At present these patches generally seem to work with the occasional night and day bad. Watch this space and thanks again.
