Hope tonight is as good as last night. Awesome nights sleep thanks to the sleeping tablets. Never woke up once ;-)

Which ones did you use? I'm going to ask to come off of the pramipexole and clonazepam and I'd like a sleeping tablet to do it. Best wishes x

I doubt sleeping pills would let you sleep through the RLS You would just be very very sleepy. But the RLS would keep you awake.

Hi Pippins, I don't often respond to posts, although I read them all, but was interested in yours about coming off Pramipexole. I have been on it for about 5 yrs now, but I would say that over time the effectiveness has worn off, and now I more or less have RLS in my legs AND arms all the time when trying to relax or stationary in a traffic jam. I have even tried cutting down to 4, from the max. of 5, but with bad results. Also I have noticed the side effects are more pronounced, dizziness, inordinate wieght gain and general tiredness! However did you manage to stop taking it?

You have to go off pramipexole gradually. I did it once before and it was a nightmare. I am back on it now. It is not a miracle drug, but it does help.

It was a couple of years I went off them. I was taking Mirapex before the generic pramipexole came out. It took less than a week to wean off of them, but I started some other med. Don't remember, but I kept so many diaries I will have to find them. I remember going off it because the withdrawal was awful. I had RLS around the clock for about 5 days I remember taking SEVERAL baths a day to try to relax. Maybe it was 3 years later I went back on pramipexole because I had tried everything - requip, gabapentin, lyrica, the patch, and who can remember what else. But I think that was enough meds. Finally my dr. asked me what I wanted to do. I decided to try the pramipexole again. It helps, not perfect. I also take oxycodone. I have been taking that for several years. I think that works even better than the pramipexole. But now I take them both. I still get RLS. If a day goes by without RLS, it is a day of celebration. Don't forget everyone is different. You may be perfectly fine. I will try to find my sleep diaries and get back to you. Please don't worry about so many questions. I PERFECTLY UNDERSTAND I have had RLS for over 30 years.
