I get it worse in my arms and it is unbearable, tonight!
I would like to know what others do f... - Restless Legs Syn...
I would like to know what others do for their RLS when out of meds. I, normally, take Requip but, I moved and don't have a doctor, yet.
Oh heck, nothing worse than no meds. Honestly, your body is objecting to not having the dopamine, there isnt much you can do for relief. Sitting in a bath of hot water, i found when my RLS played up was heaven. But it only worked while in the bath, hard to lay in a bath of hot water all night. Have you got any type of weights, anything that is heavy, like a large tin of something, use to lift up and down for your arms, it might help. I have never run out of meds so dont know what else to suggest, apart from get a doctor sorted out real quick. Unless you have some pain meds at home, like co-codamol...
Elisse in the tub with an orange life jacket on..just in case she
goes down under if she falls asleep...haha=)
I would need one too...cant swim....!!
im a tub sleeper on a bad night
Out of meds?!?!?! Seems to be a night in hell. When my arms starts I use to do some hand wash clothes.
Been there, did that..What you are experiencing is really bad..
I dumped an entire bottle into dirty dish water..the cap was cocked
and out they poured into the sink...it was a Friday night..my doctor
was on vacation..I suffered..I was crying..it's how I learned to sleep
standing up..I still do that but not lately..no more part of me drapped
over my bed with feet still flat on the floor..NOsire'ree..but it might
not last..and Elise suggested that I do that same thing...I sat in the tub..
Pain medicine will get ya through but if you are like me, you will be
missing the dopamine..a lot..so call the former doctor and ask to
have it prescribed or go into the urgent appointment if need be..
sometimes the chemist will give a 3 day supply when you are out..
they know the consequences of being without for just one single night.
set your alarm for early and try to get a first appointment of the day..
or get into a cancellation spot..give a shout to both the chemist and
a doctor..I am so sorry that this is going on for you..xxx hugs..Karen
If it gets absolutely totally unbearable you have go to the emergency ward at the hospital. I think we do that much too seldom.
