It seems very quiet on here these days. Is everyone out in the sunshine?. So now spring has finally arrived, has anyone planned a holiday? If so , where to? As everyone knows I went to Cumbria earlier in the year!

Hi, ive a planned trip allright !! to the xray department tomorrow, seems the doctor thinks i may here some nerve trouble in my back, but xray first to check if it the arthritis getting worse, if not then MRI, IM SICK OF HOSPITALS !! apart from that ive had a lovely dat here, warm and sunny :) and no chance of a holiday for me this year im afraid

I have a planned holiday , only trouble is getting just the legs packed off while I stay here in almost bliss for a few days.

It's amazing not many travel companies willing to accept just half fare for the legs , I even offered to travel in steerage with no view...

...Staycation does sound appealing but will it last, maybe I will just visit a county unvisited use a woucher or two and pack some extra msm gel.

LOL, Direction, i like your type of holiday, i think we would all like to pack our legs off for a break from us. Or even leave the legs behind, after all, only those who have been good should go on holiday, legs should be punished and left at home alone. :)

Yes I am going to Denmark and Sweden very soon and I shall be seeing the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmo on 18 May 2013. Have some time to see Denmark and Sweden. My legs have not been good and as Elisse points out above about "bad legs" I have decided to leave them at home as they don't deserve a holiday, although things are better than they were. If they improve a bit more I will take them,

I am 63 years old and live in France where the retirement age is 60 so until I am 65 and of age to receive the UK State Pension, the French have allowed me RSA Benefit which is the equivalent of the UK's basic social monthly payment at 425 Euros. After paying 100€ for the rent, 40€ for electricity, 12€ Insurance for the apartment and 50€ for telephone and the internet (my contact with the world and my entertainment in one) there is not much left over, about 50€ per week for food - nothing towards a holiday. But I am happy and in the warmth most of the year soothing my arthritis pains. Luckily they have approved full health care so all my medicines are free! I still have many memories of great holidays in the past, what more do you need?

America is taking the challenge to live on

$1.50 per day.

I have not decided if I can do this. My medicines will cost

more than that so I may be disqualified before I even sign.

The challenge lasts one full month.

I have yet to look if that amount of money must put a roof

over our heads. I will have to look at adding many room mates

if that is the case. Perhaps we will rent a camp-site and fish

for food??? or go rough it in near the lake shores.

I really want to do this. Many of the youth in my soccer

groups are accepting the challenge.. I think Ben Affleck

is who sponsoring this event...

We have been to Norwich (Feb.) and have another trip planned for the end of May. There was too much to see on our first trip so staying at the same B&B just outside the City. Hope to get to the coast this time! as we miss the sea so much.

We love holidaying in the UK, when the weather is good there isn't anywhere finer: history, scenery, good tea shops ..........
