Anyone following the CFS story line?

Following and agreeing with most of the storyline though I do feel they concentrate on fatigue as if that was the only symptom that we experience when we all know thats simply not true.

I am. It's better than the last time they featured it, but still not brilliant.

I really wish they would stop calling it CFS. And as Seascape says I wish they would make some more mention of the myriad of symptoms.

Also I'm waiting to see if they portray the truth about the tests we have to go through before they can reach a diagnosis. Given that the program storylines run pretty much in real time (despite being filmed months prior to airtime) that should mean this particular story doesn't reach a diagnosis for minimum 6 months, probably nearer a year. The way it's progressing at the minute it looks like he is going to be given a diagnosis fairly soon. We'll see.

Interesting though that it's his sister, the nurse who is in denial about him having the condition. Yet to see how that plays out too. Is it because they/she want him to go through the tests first and reach a different diagnosis. Is it because she doesn't really believe in it. Or is it going to transpire that she fully understands the enormity of the condition and doesn't want him to have it. Again, we'll see.

It would also be interesting to know why they have chosen to feature the condition again and why now. Is it because of all the recent biomedical research? And if so are they trying to open people's eyes to the reality of that or are they going to push the psychobabble rubbish. In other words, I wonder WHO is behind this development?

Any one else got any thoughts?

Is Mrs Tembe the only one having the wool pulled over her eyes or are we going the same way with what is true and what we want getting blended with psychobabble for the storyline only time will tell I suppose.
