Hi Julie, have you managed to quit yet? It can take a few weeks or more for your body to get rid of all that rubbish that's clogging up your lungs but every day quit takes you a step closer to a much healthier you. I think I am lucky that I could see the writing on the wall if I carried on smoking much longer so managed to quit while I was ahead (so to speak). It might be worth paying a visit to the doc's just to get yourself checked out (like Jan said) just for your own peace of mind. Don't forget to let us all know how you get on.

Hi I'm mags
I stopped on the 31st dec2012 and I have been quite poorly since with breathing problems fluttering of the heart sweating constipated and poor sleeping I have had numerous tests last week all clear including thyroid. You know I have smoked 20 a day for 40 years so I did expect the body to react. Just today I went for a 3mile walk and did a few 30sec jogs with no problems. My major problem is staying out of the fridge and cupboards but I have no desire what so ever to smoke.i have tried for years to stop with all the back up patches etc and nothing worked this time I set myself a date and went totally cold turkey.
many many congratulations. so pleased for you. ! x
