Hey Fagfree, welcome to our happy on-line stop smoking support family

Well done on taking a huge leap forward into becoming smokefree. Just remembering to stay as positive as possible and when you get any cravings, see them as a good sign that your body is recovering

We have a lovely bunch of people on here. If you want to get involved and have a good laugh then pop over to our daily chat. If not, then please have a good nosie through all our posts, they'll keep you occupied if you need it and I'm sure that reading through our daily chats will have you laughing along the way

Was it yesterday that you stopped smoking? Let me know and I will add you onto our 'where everybody is up to' thread.

Yes, I stopped when i woke up yesterday-am using the NHS stop smoking service and have my supply of patches and gums. Ten years ago I gave up and stayed smoke free for 6 years-went back on them thinking I could be an occasional smoker and that plan didn't work. So this time it's for good. The first days are not easy though-looking forward to getting over the initial withdrawal.

Will check around the site and see about the daily chats-keeping occupied is the key now...so I'm off for a walk-even with the rain!

Hi fagfree and welcome to our community - you've come to right place and I'm sure I couldn't have managed it without everyone's help on here.

Walking's good - as is any sort of exercise if you can do it. We all seem to have lost the plot on here at times so feel free to jump in and join our daily blogs whenever you feel you want to, but if you don't want to then that's fine too. It does really help on those really tough days though.
