You're up early today then Jilly, couldn't you sleep?

Beautiful and cold down south too. I must go for a walk on the seafront today and drink in some of that lovely fresh air - because I'm worth it! Hope it's a good one for everybody.

Good Morning All

Had a few very stressful days (again!!) and got real ANGRY because something went wrong at work ... but just about managed to hold it together and while a few thoughts of "relief from smoking" came into my mind I NEVER WAS going to start that disgusting habit again !! Then last night, in the pub, I got a lecture from someone who had worked in a hospital and had seen the lungs of people that HAD smoked for a long period of time and he said they were unrecognisable as lungs !! He also said this black coating would be in the mouth & throat and even in the heart & arteries - "Tobacco companies kill their best clients" comes to mind and in rather an unpleasant way!!

Well ... I will now get off my high horse and bid everyone a good smokeFREE day because You're Worth it - like Andi & Jilly....

Hi Andi and Jonathan. Jonathan I am so glad your brain is being sensible no matter how stressed you get. Dont end up like me with only 1 lung, and I was one of the lucky ones. So you can imagine.

Andi I was up early as the carpet fitters were coming to the new flat. It was supposed to be 10.00am but they phoned at 8.45 to see if they could come earlier. So just got back now. First job kettle on.

Afternoon All,

Loving today's opening and I can most definitely smell the weekend and boy am I looking forward to it too! I have blisters on my poor feet from power walking through London yesterday Trains were delayed and disrupted due to a fire on one line which caused chaos all round. Bring on the weekend I say

Jonathan, it just goes to show how the memory of smoking and believing that it will give you relief can linger for some time, great to see that you were on to it though before it took too much of a hold. Had you smoked, it wouldn't have changed anything at work and you would have kicked yourself Remember that you really are a true winner and there's no getting past you

Hope you're pleased with your carpets JillyGirl. I love the feeling of a new carpet on my socked or bare feet

The kettle is about to go on here too, so if anyone fancies a top up

Oooo Jilly, yummy - I pigged out on some shortbread bisciuts earlier! I had a lovely walk on the prom. Lots of people about - walkers, cyclists, runners, jet skiers - chilly wind but warm in the shelter of the cliffs. There was a fisherman selling the fish he'd caught earlier so I bought myself a lovely bass for my tea - it's in the oven as we speak. I think it might be a bit too big for now so will have to finish it tomorrow for my lunch.

Busy weekend, lodgers away for the weekend, I'm out to a barn dance tonight, a quiz night tomorrow and doing my Parkrun in the morning. Hope you all have a good evening and see you tomorrow.
