I turn 40 this year and I’ve smoked since I was 16, heavy at times too. I made a promise to myself I’d give up before the next decade. I’ve started to feel the years of smoking begin to take its toll and with the new spring and the rain it feels like now is the time to wash away the negative impacts of smoking. I’m going to go cold turkey and get outside more, use the time I spend rolling and smoking to make positive changes. Won’t be easy I know but I think through support and gratitude we can stub out our last cigarette knowing it’s a good thing. So midday today it is (hour or so away). Day by day. Going to write a diary of how I feel, important to include the positives too so hope I can share some of them with you as I go.
Well done to all those who continue to remain smoke free, how amazing and proud you must all feel. I’ll be joining you shortly. X
