This is about head support systems especially in a wheelchair. Neck collar has been tried but does not work.

My wife is confined to bed/chair but can be transferred to wheelchair using full hoist. She cannot support her head upright. Might a Savant headrest help? I would like to take her for outings in the modified car that we have, but am concerned about safety aspects.

We used a tilt-n-space wheelchair that had a great head support -I'm not sure about car headrest though.

I have had had the same issues with my mum and have found that if I get the seat laying and mum titled slightly to the other side sort of on her other hip, that it is much easier for us both. I was thinking on the same lines-that the type of head supports that are on some wheelchairs would be very useful. Maybe a home made effort with foam blocks inside would fit over the back of the car seat. We could do with a PSP gadget shop really.

We have a tilt n space wheelchair as well. The hugged head rest helps when in the car.
