Will my vision continue to decline? Will a change in my eye-wear prescription help?

I am a PSP patient experiencing periods of blurry vision with these periods becoming more frequent and lasting longer.
My father used to experience the same. Its actually not the vision power but basically your eyeball movement that slows down, making your eyes work very hard to try an focus. dont think eye prescription would help. however if you could get a eye specialist to teach you some of the eye exercises, they help a bit for sure. also dont let your eyes dry. so much effort in focussing can make them loose their natural water. so keep hyderating them with a regular eye gel.
Hi, blurred vision is unfortunately on of the symptoms of PSP, you should ask your GP to refer you to the orthoptist or eye specialist to see if they can help. The eye changes are to do with the difficulty of control of movement of the eyes, but you should continue to see your optician for a usual check up to check if your prescription has changed, please take a PSPA booklet along to the opticians so they know about your PSP.

I also have this desease since about 6 years now and recently I have exactly like you, a blurred vision. It does not help to change prescription, I went to see a professor who at least knew this desease, of know avail. Good luck, anyhow!

Unfortunately eye issues are part of PSP. Blurred vision, loss of some vision either up but mostly down, dry eyes, problems keeping eyes open (late PSP). My wife now has dry eyes that water because they are dry. Not much blurring yet just occasionally. Hang in there. PSP is a rough road to travel.
