Glad your Mum is still able to go home, whether she's fit for it or not, its clearly what she wants to do, and her "dogged determination" should rightly be celebrated, (with or without cake).

And I bet as she waited for the bus, she did so in an utterly glamorous fashion too, I take my (not so glamorous) hat off to her, an inspiration.
