Thank you for sharing your findings for treating insomnia in PSP. My husband had PSP and he had insomnia for years before other symptoms started. His doctor prescribed Trazadone to help him sleep. His doctor also prescribed Donepezil at 10 mg to help with brain function which improved his swallowing. After a couple of years when his swallowing became an issue again his doctor increased his Donepezil to 20 mg at bedtime. We discovered that Donepezil will make you sleepy. Once his Donepezil was increased to 20 mg he was able to sleep without Trazadone. Someone mentioned that they knew someone who had agitation from taking Donepezil, so I will just add that my husband was already taking Bupropion for depression. Sending you best wishes.

That is a issue, we know lot about all these medication, but in PSP each patient is unique and they will have unique response to random medication

My husband is in the early stages and was initially prescribed Trazadone, but the side effects looked a little extreme, so we asked for an alternative. He is now taking Dayvigo for insomnia. He can successfully sleep now.
