Hi, new on here. wondering if anyone or anyone knows someone who has PSP and suffers with motion sickness when being a passenger in a car? Father in law has been very sick twice and cant communicate in time that its going to happen. Can you take motion sickness tablets? any advice?

Is it his eyesight that's causing the problem? Mum found that her double vision made her feel sick in the car sometimes and would often shut her eyes when travelling. She also had glasses with one lens obscured which helped.

Hi there Yes, Chris started to get car sick but as this coincided with him deteriorating it meant we didn't get out that much.

He was prescribed Solpadeine patches (a sea sickness treatment) for excessive saliva, so they may help. It is probably all tied up with eyesight and balance.

PSP is so devastating, hope this helps. Keep on keeping on x

My husband has PSP and has lightheaded feeling in car and when not in car. He has prescription prism , yellow tinted glasses or dark sunglasses and says he feels better when he wears them . My husband also says he feels better reclining when the dizziness gets bad. diminished eye movement and need to turn head to see seems to add to this problem.

Yes, we give my mom Dramamine and it helps tremendously.

I have CBD and can not ride any distance without getting motion sick. It’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. Something that really helps me is Bonine. I buy the generic Meclizine at the pharmacy. It’s much cheaper that way. Chewable tablets taken with a little food an hour or so before the car ride makes a HUGE difference.

Hope that helps.

My Dad has PSP and pretty much feels dizzy all the time, reclining in the chair seems to help a bit, he's never been offered anything to ease this. I'll look into the prism glasses!
