Thank you all for such lovely messages and kind thoughts following pete’s passing. The funeral is on Friday and at the minute I am feeling reasonably calm. Managed to get a guitar coffin that he would love and needing to just finalise the music. Led zeppelin of course will be included. Probably won’t be on the site for a while, I’m sure you all understand. Love to you all wherever you are on the journey. Xxx

Thinking of you. I did not know that Pete was a lover of music. Yes, he would love his coffin, and of course Led Zeppelin.
My son was a free lance bass player (died of PSP May 4, 2017). For his memorial I had his close musician friends come together and form a band...favorite songs of his, mine, and his sisters.
I will be thinking of you and my advice is take your time and breath, it sounds like you have some lovely things arranged for Friday which will be a real opportunity to celebrate his life and for you to reflect on all the good times and happy memories. Love Sarahxx
Sounds as if you are having a Farewell celebration that is fitting for him and am sure he would be very proud of what you are arranging to celebrate his life. It is a day you will hold on your heart when you hear all the lovely things I'm sure people will have to say about him. Keep strong and I'm sure you will find some kind of solace from this celebration that you will take with you for the rest of your life.
I made the funeral a celebration of his life and all the time kept thinking of how much he would have enjoyed it. It reminded everyone of him - not PSP.
