Bolts or big jerks ....

Don't know how to describe ???

It's not the shakes as associated with Parkinson's and it's not tremor.

Barry has had these bolts for a few years but they are increasing.

Is anyone familiar with this ?

Hi Althea

I have not come across this. Sorry.

I know I would be on to the neurologist though.

Hopefully someone with experience will come back to you.

Is this the sort of thing you are refering to?

Hopefully someone informed will get back to you.

Warmly

Kevin, thank you for reply. I checked that site and it's not Restless leg Syndrome. I forgot to mention that my husband was diagnosed with PSP a year ago and misdiagnosed several times for 4 years previously.

Hi Althea

I thought there might be something useful there. Yes, PSP, I've read your posts.

Sorry you are both having to deal with that.

Wishing you the best.

Like a soccer player kicking a ball or a boxer throwing a punch. Except he is lying on a bed. The limbs jerk once and then it's over. This happens all night and approx 5 times a day. It started about 2 years ago when he was able bodied.

My Mum has these, she has CBD. They are called myclonic jerks. They were quite mild but now are very strong in all her limbs and cause her pain when they occur. On top of that her legs never stop moving. This all keeps her awake and the jerks wake her up too. She has had the jerks for about 4 years and they keep getting stronger.

Yes! I found it on internet ... symptom of many neurological disorders.

So unfair on top of everything else PSP has to offer.

Bless you,and hugs for your mom.
