Party or no party, I do wish you a happy belated birthday! I reread your bio (couldn't remember if your name was Tim or Dan....It's Dan by the way...hahha ....you don't tell of your kids. Do you have any? You know I was just thinking, There are alot of kids (college age) who are doing there pt internship at my husbands gym.....Maybe we caregivers could get a kid or two to do their clinicals or internship with our mate with PSP at their home? It may just be part time or something...but wouldn't it be nice if soemone had to really be involved in a patients life? What better than their daily existence .....
I don't think dr's get enough one-on-one experience.....they go to hospitals or drs offices and take care of acute situations.....give them the chronic and see what they can do.....Let them be the Heins 57 of caregiving; really put their schooling to the test!
So much for birthday gifts, Dan.....I talked about kids mixed that up with thoughts on drs and laid my thoughts on your birthday card.......good thing I'm not mad at ya huh?....I don't think that is possible because you, like Bev, are very gentle sweet and strong people....If we need soemwhere to go for wisdom, ya'll are it!!!! Thank you Give your wife a hug from me.

Thanks AVB. Yes, we have 2 wonderful kids. A daughter who is 34 years old and lives nearby. She has a 18 month old daughter, Shelby ... oh so precious. And we have a 32 year old son who lives down in Nashville, TN, about 4 hours away. He has a 5 1/2 year old daughter, Addie Kate. Another precious one. Unfortunately we just don't get to see them that frequently. But my daughter is always willing to help. And Kim's mom helps me a lot. She comes one day a week and stays with Kim, so that I can go into the office. I'm very fortunate to work for a company that allows a lot of WFH (Work From Home), so I usually from from home 4 days a week.
Thanks again for the birthday wishes! Love and Hugs coming your way ...

Yah I have 3 kids all who live 3 minutes to 20 minutes away. They will help when they can . B's mom is in AZ and my mom has passed away. But Mrs. Birke (as I always called her) is very energetic and able to do anything she wants.... B's dad was diagnosed with Alzhiemers a few years before Bs diagnosis. It is amazing how they seem to parallel in symptoms: lack of walking, talking, interest.... I think B's dad is much more gradual where with PSP it's pretty steep spiral ..course alz doesnt get better either but his dad can clearly talk if he wants; walk independently w a walker; probably about same amount of interest level tho Bruces cognition higher...I guess... We are to see them soon, probably be B's last trip...at least where he will be able to do some things independently.....I sort of fear going. Bs brother was so in shock and cried so hard when he saw his brother....And B was able to walk and eat and talk that was 2 summers ago......When he sees him now....I'ts going to be 10x as hard! and B may be even more exhausted which leads to even worse physical ability.....ok that's it we're not going!!!! No I have to it's unfair to keep him from his mama !
Sorry for the dribble I am talking to myself on this post....you just happen to be in earshot hahaha

Belated birthday wishes Ketchupman and hope there will be special times this year and next. March must have been a special month for birthdays for carers, mine was last Sunday. Cheers 🍾🎂🍺🍷💐. Nanny857 xxx
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm assuming March is a busy birth month due to either a lot of June weddings or a really hot summer that occurred 9 months prior. I know for us, Kim got pregnant following our honeymoon (our 35th wedding anniversary is coming up on June 6th). We were young and stupid and knew nothing about birth control. We're Southern Baptists and we tried the Catholic's rhythm method. But we thought it just meant doing it to music. Oh well. Gave us more time in life to enjoy our daughter. After getting better at birth control, it was 2 years later before we had our son.
Hoping you had a happy birthday too!
Ketchupman
Hahahahah doing it to music! too funny...Seriously, I think they did mean that though. have you seen many old Catholic families with less than 5 kids? My Catholic grandparents had 5 kids....Course here in Arkansas the old NON Catholic families all started at 5 and went up....I have some oldsters in my church who had 12 siblings......Have you ever noticed that at least 2 siblings birthdays are within a month of each other ? My mom and an aunt born in February, the other two were born in June; My grandparents in law had 4 kids; three born in one month and one in another. My brothers were born in November, I in Feb. My kids 2 in December one in September.....husbands family 1 in may, 2in June 1 in Sept....and on and on...Think about it I'd like to see if my Theory/postulate/observation IDK is true.
And I was wondering about what month was 9 months before March......Does hot summer nights heighten romance.....hahha
oh yah and one more thing about birth control.....It wasn't until after I got on the pill that I got pregnant....after the 3d baby (3 in 4 years), I chucked that tablet and never had another kid!!!! So for me the birth control got my birthin out of control...luckily.....since I do have the smartest funniest cutest most successful children IN THE WORLD.......yah you could say I love them.....
June 6th, Bruce and I will celebrate our 31st anniversary ! That was B's D-Day! hahahaha
We'd prolly have 12 kids too if we kept the rhythm method going. But I manned up and got a vasectomy. Kim had 2 c-sections and they could had easily tied her tubes on the last pregnancy. But she told me that if she had to be cut, so should I. She was stubborn even 32 years ago. 😊 Oh well, at least I probably made some nurse's day back then. Or at least a good chuckle.
I know, I know ... TMI. 😄
To NannaB and ketchupman , congratulations on your birthdays and wishing you both a good and not too stressful year ahead. Thanking you both for your support, wisdom and good humour.XX
Happy birthday nannab and ketchupman xx
Happy Belated Birthday to both NannaB and Ketchupman' sorry it's not on time but apart from having Ben to sort out I also gave my daughter in law and the two and a half year old and three month baby staying for four weeks as here house refurbishment is running behind schedule and they have nowhere to live apart from us! It's lovely but exhausting ansd this is only week one.
I hope you both had a brilliant birthday, you certainly deserve it. Kate Xxx
Happy belated birthday to all the Easter birthday people !!! Hope you had a nice day
