Hi, ah I'm so sorry that you are feeling so low today. I'm a very new member and only posted for the first time today so I'm probably going to be no use at all but just wanted to say hello and let you know that you're not alone, there are so many people on this site that seem to be in the same sad and frustrated boat. I hope you feel better once the whole NY bit is over. x

You are not alone, Nannygoon. It is unbearably hard to watch a loved one fade. We just lost my sweetheart's brother to brain cancer Monday. There is sorrow, but some comfort in knowing his suffering and the suffering of his wife in caring for him in this long decline are done. Do something good and peaceful for yourself today. My thoughts are with you. Love and peace, Easterncedar

It is so hard watching someone you love fade away isn't it, especially when you have no idea how long it will be before they leave you. I don't think anything I say will make you feel better so I'll send you a big virtual hug to let you know we are thinking about you.

For 30 years I have seen the new year in with a large group of friends. Over the years several have now left us, moving house, divorce and some have died. This year I have chosen not to join the others but to spend the time quietly with my husband remembering the good times and hoping we still have more to come in whatever way we can.

X

Nanny goon, I hope you feel better soon. I felt very down before Christmas but found the support on this site very helpful. Please know we are here for you, and will hold you & your sister in our prayers.

I feel the same way sometimes, frightened, and numb. My husband was just put on Hospice home care. I was hoping he would not make their criteria. Happy New Year! Keep the faith

Hi Nannygoon, I rarely join in the celebrations for New Years Eve. It just highlights the things that are going wrong in your life. No day is a good day to see someone you love, drifting away from you. Just know, that we are all thinking about you and sending you lots of love at this terrible time.

Lots of love
