Ups and downs

Hi. I had CRS / Hipec/ hemicolectomy at Basingstoke in July this year. CT in December shows recurrence and now waiting for chemotherapy at local Trust. Can't believe it's recurred so quickly. Waiting for Oncology appointment. Trying to stay positive but can't help feeling anxious about long term.

Your anxiety is completely understandable Sandman53. I had my treatment in October so yet to have my follow up CT, but I can imagine that I would feel the same. Throughout the whole process I've really focussed on the things that make me get out of bed in the morning and tried to ignore the things I can do nothing about. Good luck with your next treatment.

Hi DanceFixesAll. Thank you for your reply. It's really appreciated. Yes you're right, can't do anything about what is out of your control. I think it's about learning to live with the unknown in a more positive light. Thanks again and hope your recovery is going well.
