Men, please help: has anyone used a vibrating masturbator (penis not erect) after prostate cancer surgery? Share your experiences.

Hi - I personally have not - I use a pump, and like it but from discussions here and in a virtual support group, I remember that you have to go through a period of healing - and then take it slow. Ask your health care provider and if they can't or won't have that discussion then ask them to recommend someone who can and will - an ED specialist perhaps. hope this helps

I have used both the masturbator and the pump, both work but the pump gets the blood flowing more directly. When was your ‘prostate cancer surgery’? You mean a prostatectomy yes?

Laparoscopic prostate cancer surgery was on 2024-10-22. Thank God, I can now orgasm without urine, but my penis is soft. A vibrating masturbator helps, if it doesn't hurt.

Yes I have. I’m one year post RALP with nerve sparing but no natural erections yet. I take 20mg viagra daily at night to keep blood flow going. I use a vacuum pump 4-5 times a week with a c-ring for masturbation. I use Trimix for penetrative sex. I bought a male vibrator recently, by lovesense I believe. It’s ok, not earth shattering by any stretch and didn’t get me there really. It’s an ok sensation and is just another tool in the arsenal to get back to “normal”

Wishing you well in your journey!

You are waaaayyy early to be looking for large changes in your situation. First off, do you KNOW if your nerves were spared? 2nd the healing trend for erections is seldom linear. It's typically peaks and valleys. Things improve then they stop. Up down. Up down. Took me 8 months for erections to return to normal. I had a bit of ED before surgery as well which my drxs think was a precursor to my prostatitis/cancer diagnosis. Give yourself some time...the worse thing you can do is put pressure on yourself. Take care!
