Dear All,Following on from everybody's wonderful advice and comments last year I just thought that maybe some people in the community might be wondering how things are panning out a year on from my Retzius-sparing RALP with frozen sections here on the other side of the pond.
I would report that my last 4 psa tests have been below 0.025. That I have full continence and full erectile function. I mostly sleep through the night without needing to get up, and the flow is vastly improved.
So, touch wood, it seems that I have had a "bit of a result".
I suppose the message to the people going through the nightmares of being diagnosed with prostate cancer and trying to decide what to do is that if the cancer is detected early then there are curative treatments which will deal with the cancer and that there is no real impairment in quality of life post treatment.
Thanks once again for everybody's help last year with everyone who posted a comment when there were more questions than answers swimming around my head. Great work in supporting men in their hour of need. It truly is much appreciated.
Cheers
WYWH
