I’ve been taking tamsulosin for 6 days now.
The past few days were ok but today I was “with” my missus, and there was no ejaculation.
Is this going to happen every time?

Most likely, it is a well known side effect.
Same thing happening with me.
Stay Strong Brother.
It causes "retrograde ejaculation," which means the semen goes up to the bladder instead of down the penis. It is peed out later.
thank you both. Does alfuzosin have the same side effect?
No, with Alfuzosin I always had completely normal ejaculations. The first two alpha blockers my Uro. put me on each came with retrograde ejaculation. With one of them, my climax was about 10% as strong as normal. I'm virtually certain that Flomax was not one of the first two we tried. Alfuzosin was very effective for me.
One caution about alfuzosin is that it reduces blood pressure much more significantly than tamsulosin, so if you are taking any hypertension drugs, you'll need to monitor closely and time your doses accordingly. Alfuzosin also needs to be taken after meals to help slow absorption and also needs to be specifically timed if you are also taking Cialis. While I've had random ejaculation issues with tamsulosin, the blood pressure issues and timing were a challenge for me to manage with alfuzosin, especially with hypertension meds and Cialis.
I have been on Duodart (Tamsulosin and Dutaseride ) for about 4 years now, the side effects I experience are retrograde ejaculation and dizzy spells on standing up. I'm not prepared to risk a TURP so it looks like I'm stuck on medication....admitedly it's better than full urine retention!
Can I ask how many times you’ve had retention? I found myself struggling to empty my bladder in the evening throughout 22-23’.
I had been taking vitamin b3 so assumed it was that. In august 23 I upped the dosage of b3, and for some reason one day, I felt the urge to pee- then nothing. I strained and strained and nothing. Went straight to hospital, was in there for 28 hours before they put a catheter In- it was the scariest most exhausting thing I went through.
Anyway a study now has linked enlarged prostate with b3 use in older men who are overweight. I’m not average weight and I’m only 41.- still makes you think….
I was prescribed Duodart initially during RT as I could not empty my bladder fully ( in one day I went to toilet 19 times! ) I was told I'd only be on the medication for 6 weeks or so and then I could stop taking it. After 6 weeks I stopped ,however after about 3 weeks it was becoming increasingly difficult to urinate, I went back on Duodart. I tried a few times over the years but the "window" of difficulty urinating became smaller , last attempt to go off the meds I lasted 2 days. I will not try it again.
has anyone experienced any eye problems in general through taking Tamsulosin? Seen it can cause things like floppy Iris syndrome.
I have noticed my eyes feel more tired and a little blurry but that’s about it.
My doctor just put me on Tamsulosin as I have a reduced urine flow. I told my wife that ‘retrograde ejaculation’ sounded like something to do with horoscopes. Quick as a flash she shot back that it happens when you get Mercury in Uranus! 🤣
