Pain related to PCa?

Newly dianosed with 2 core GS 3+3 8/13mm and 0.5/14mm and one core GS 3+4 (40%) 9/12mm.

Based on MR 2 months ago tumor is subcapsular and 12mm in diameter located in right PZ. Normal signal on pelvis LN and SV.

However I have strong pain in my back, neck, legs and arms. Heavy night sweets. Dr says this is unusal. This is worrying me very much as I think that the cancer has metatized in distance areas. What is the chance that this can happen? Has anybody heard something like this?

I think the mind plays tricks on many of us, including me, when I was first diagnosed. I remember interpreting every pain as a metastasis, and because I focussed on it, it amplified the pain. Then I learned to practice mindfulness-- it changed my life.

I understand but the pain is so strong that I am using strong medicine but still not helping. I know that something is very wrong. I am waiting for getting a bone scan, hoping for PSMA PET

Though it may not be SOC for your diagnosis, I hope insurance will cover a PSMA PET for you.......at least CT and bone scans. Perhaps your pains are not imaginary !!! Though if they all appeared only after your biopsy, then fear/imagination may be reasonable to suspect?

Lotta fascinating stuff. Discusses phantom pain.

Brain as predictive machine (in all things, even mundane), balanced by perception. Theory that those who have too much of one (so unbalanced) have issues. IE, autistics have too much perception, ergo sensory overload. Schizophrenics have too much predictive,ie, internal brain activity/guesses vs perception to rein this in (and thus may hhearvoices, separate personalities).  Fascinating

Many thanks for your logical and sweets words. However, I can not ignore the facts. I am striving with strong swelling, pain ang night sweets. Hopefully I can clarify the cause as soon as possible.

I agree with TallAllen. The mind is a very powerful thing. Focusing on pain can make it untreatable. We all, literally, when diagnosed with Cancer, me two different ones 40 yrs apart, focus on every lump and pain fearing that the Cancer has spread.

Schedule an exam with your MO, explain in detail what you are experiencing and ask for help in confirming a cause and action.

Another MRI might help. What you describe are side effects of hormone medication so that might be part of it.

Do as many of us have done, go to the gym often, work at living, enjoy family.

My PCA, G9, local mets, Nubeqa, incurable. In my eighth year. Now 75.

Be strong, wishing you well.

suggest a pet scan which should definitifly indicate if cancer is contained. I would think this is necessary to determine course of action and of course for your peace of mind.

I read in new scientist recently a builder had a large nail go through his boot. Went to hospital in absolute agony, and when they cut the boot off the nail had passed between his toes and not through his foot ... the mind can definitely play tricks.
