hi all, got my appointment today with the consultant, should find out what treatment will be coming my way, I’ll try to get as many medical terms in my head and pass it on to you guys later, hopefully I’ll get some positive words back and encouragement from you lot later , wish me luck 🍀

Hi ukpete I wish you good luck. I am in a similar position and my post yesterday had a reply from TA about the SSPORT trial results. Very informative - short term ADT is beneficial (it can mean avoiding lifelong ADT later on). I would ask the oncologist if they are aware of these recent results, and whether the NHS can offer short term ADT with SRT. The study also showed that with PSA < 0.35 there was no benefit of wider radiation to lymph nodes, which comes with an increased risk of toxicity.

I would ask about availability of a psma scan since I think they will want to scan anyway, and there may be a chance the psma could pick up something useful.
