Does anyone know the infection rate for Brachytherapy?

Not sure of the infection rate but your care provides will treat you before the procedure with antibiotics to lesson the risk of an infection.

Both are minimally-invasive, no cutting. With LDR needles are used to implant seeds permanently. With HDR catheters are used to temporarily deliver high doses of radiation. I had LDR, and there was no major pain after at the site where the needles were placed, no swelling. And yes, they give you antibiotics before.
