I've been given a reprieve from my Millin procedure, and I just came upon information on the PAE prostate procedure. Does the community have any thoughts?
"Prostate artery embolization (PAE) is a new, minimally invasive procedure used to treat BPH. "
"......inserts a small catheter, or hollow tube, into an artery in the leg or wrist. Using 3-D X-ray, the catheter is guided through the artery to the arteries that feed the prostate."
"Once the arteries to the prostate are reached, thousands of microscopic beads are delivered through the catheter to permanently block blood flow to the prostate. This causes the prostate to shrink over time, improving urinary symptoms."
