PAE - any experiences?

I've been given a reprieve from my Millin procedure, and I just came upon information on the PAE prostate procedure. Does the community have any thoughts?

"Prostate artery embolization (PAE) is a new, minimally invasive procedure used to treat BPH. "

Very good point by TA. I know there are forums out there for BPH. There are a large number of different procedures for treatment, some pretty new. Try to make sure you don't have PCa, then figure out your best procedure with the best practitioner to treat your BPH. Unfortunately, none of this stuff is simple.

My twin brother received this treatment after a disappointing outcome from the laser equivalent of TURP for BPH. Years later he was still having nasty voiding issues. After PAE he has noticed some improvement. His is an odd case where his voiding problems seem related to bladder irritants -- food or drink that causes problems. The BPH forum would be a better place to ask this question but I thought I'd chime in. As with all procedures find an experienced and highly rated practitioner.

My husband has BPH and did PAE about 6 weeks ago. He wanted to resolve some BPH issues before starting RT for Pca. His RO didn't want to do SBRT due to BPH. Hubby is very happy with results. He did have some small complications. Developed infection so 10 additional days of antibiotics. Also had very small kidney stone or blockage. Resolved within a week. Now he will do 5 sessions RT in a month or two.
