Cribriform? Is this a concerning pathological find? All clear pathology. Tumor 1-5% of prostate, Gleason 3+4 (15% 4) cribriform present.

It's just a kind of Gleason pattern 4.

Thanks, there is some recently conducted research indicating it may be more aggressive than the other patterns? Is there any conclusive consensus on this? Does it increase the odds of BCR?

I had a second opinion from JH that said cribriform present in areas. 4+3. Yet the core with the most pattern 4 came back from Decipher as “Low Risk.” So like everything prostate cancer, it just depends. I don’t think they have a handle on it yet, and it may be that it is worse in the higher gleason scores.

Interesting- and did that core with low decipher have cribriform or it didn't say?

We just had the 8 days follow up and asked as well. At Mayo they said its more used as pre treatment diagnostic as it can grow and spread faster. But once its out of you, its out (aka not a concern since clear margins and everything).

We were told not to even bother with Decipher (even considering the info for children). Just have them start testing at 35.

i did radiation and it may be relevant for purposes of length of ADT. The reading I have done indicates that it sometimes is found with intraductal, another finding that there is little research done on. Basically I think the finding indicates you made a good move with surgery, since like you said, it's out

It's not the best news but your 3+4 and fairly low involvement are positives, you are with an oncologist at a good cancer center and not a urologist, correct?
