"The waiting is the hardest part..."

I had my third treatment of MSK Precise / SBRT on 11/10 and more than 18 hours later, I am feeling fine. The side effects are the same as after my second treatment, just a bit more intensified. That is, the urge to urinate has increased as well as the burning sensation.

At my appointment yesterday, I ran into the same water-drinking "logistical" problem as I did during my previous appointment. I arrived at my appointment time, was given a cup of water to drink about 45 minutes later, but then after about another 40 minutes of waiting, I just couldn't hold. I had to urinate some and then drink a smaller cup to make up the difference.

The actual process was the same -- Once I was on the table, there was about 10 minutes of setup and then about 10 minutes of actual treatment.

I don't know if mentioned it previously, but my plan is five treatments with a total of 40Gy.

Thank you for sharing. I am going to being treated in the west coast and concerned about the urgency for my upcoming SBRT treatments, especially since my table time will be longer.

40 Gy seems a very curative dose.

What margins around the prostate is being treated on the “MSK precise” VMAT linac?
