Post radiation bowel

I’m one year post SBRT for intermediate risk prostate cancer. Good results but Have some bowel changes and wondering if you can help. I’m prone to constipation and high fiber diet causes trouble. Other problems too. Suggestions?

I've noticed that bowel motility slows with age. I stick to liquid fiber (oat bran and metamucil) and eat lots of vegetables - onions and broccoli, especially make me go. I avoid laxatives because they work for a little while but seem to cause constipation afterwards.

My husband has the same problem about 18 months after radiation. He's about to turn 78. He resolves with Smooth Move tea. He has adjusted amounts over time and has found that about 3/4 of a cup every other day resolves the issue.
