Xofigo and Calcium

I know I read a thread on here this week that discussed a scaled back regiment of Calcium supplements in the days leading up to and after the Xofigo injection, but can’t seem to find it now. My husband takes 1200mg of Calcium daily and just started Xofigo last week, so if anyone can clarify for me how he should scale back the supplements I would appreciate it. Thanks!

What was his blood calcium level that led his doctor to recommend he supplement with 1200 mg? Is he taking Zometa or Xgeva?

He gets Zometa every 6 months. His doctor had said he could take up to 1200mg daily. My husband was seriously concerned about fractures since he had such significant mets. Xofigo is new to us.
