after prostate surgery problem

After prostate surgery my bladder is leaking internally , its been seven weeks and i still have catheter in, doctor says healing is slow. Most prostate surgery catheter is in for one to two weeks, has anyone had this leaking problem. Bob

You are a trooper. Mine was in for one week after robotic RP. A catheter for longer than a week is cruel and unusual punishment. Hoping and praying for your bladder to heal soon.

Ask him if he used barbed sutures, and posterior/total reconstruction with anterior suspension. All you can do is wait until it heals.

It probably was not connected ( securtured) properly. I had mine for three weeks. Man that must me a hassle. They may have to reattach the bladder. My doctor hung an I V attached to the catheter..and added a dye....to make sure there were no leaks after 3 weeks. That was awful. Felt like the worst feeling that I had to piss ever. Get another doctor's opinion
