After surgery, what next?

Hi to everyone,

Just received pathology report and discussed with doctor.

It is a PT2, so no extra-capsular invasion. No seminar vesicles nor ductal invasion. No lymph vascular invasion. Lymph nodes that were removed (18) also clean.

No cirurgical margins infected, except one in the right side of the gland in the apex. However the doctor said that till 3 mm there is no statistical impact ...

Gleason 8 anyway and a big thing in both parts of the prostate.

Next step is measure PSA in July and take it from there, but the doctor is not saying anymore I should get direct adjuvant treatment after surgery as he initially thought I needed.

Well, let's wait and hear you comments or advise as well. Always appreciate what you in this forum have to say.

Thank you,

Paulo

Hello Paulo,

Sounds like more good news, and affirmation that you did the right thing by having the surgery. Wishing you the best in your recovery.

Paulo,

Sounds like you got great news, now just the dreaded wait for the PSA scores, but your results indicate that they should be fine. Best of luck with your continued recovery from the surgery.

Hello Paulo,

That sounds like an excellent result. What's next is to recover from the surgery. Be careful not to stress any tissues that were affected, but resume gentle exercise when you can without hurting yourself.

Best of luck.

Alan
