Hi, I asked my midwife about this as I have always dyed blonde, and she said there was no issue with using a home kit a they are asked to the hair not the skin, it is just the fumes and chemicals in that you need to watch. She advised to apply out in a very well ventilated room, not to stay in there too long and to stop if feeling at all feint, and if possible to use an ammonia free product.

I switched from using nice n easy to garnier olia as this had no ammonia in and is much more natural. I'm 37weeks and have just done mine for the third time with no problems.

Good luck!

lovely thank u all, when we get some sun (or if) I will do my summer hair :) xx

I have always dyed my hair blonde at home through all my pregnancies without problems. I think your skin gets more sensitive in pregnancy that's why some say avoid but I have always been ok.
