Hi, you should go immediately to your doctor if you are experiencing abdominal pain, I am also on my 6th weeks but I didnt feel anything strange on my tummy. well my office while she was on her 7th weeks of pregnancy she experience abdominal pain as well she contacted her midwife right away and had her check up, her midwife said she was experiencing premature labor until now she's on bed rest.. Ask your doctor about your pain... take care!
Some slight periodpain can be normal. ..so can bleeding but always should be checked, contact ur g.p should see u asap and refer u for a scan xx
I wouldnt get too worried at this point "to be fair" because many women in the early stages of pregnancy are likely to experience some sort of discharge but go on to have healthy, full term pregnancies. The pain which usually comes & go is most likely your body streching & putting pressure on your abdomal muscles & ligiments
Im roughly between 12 & 13wks & I remember experiencing a brown-ish coloured discharge a few weeks ago. Even though i havent had my 1st scan yet im still very confident that the baby is o.k because when i eat certain foods im sure i can feel something simular to streching or just general movement.
If you think the discharge is becoming red followed with abdomal pain it would be safe to contact your G.P / Midwife
I will admit its does worry u a Lil when u see this but firstly try to hear your instincts.
xx
Hi Preggie, I wouldn't worry too much at all. I was going through the same angst last week. I'm now 9 weeks (7 in reality) and had a bit of a discharge last thurs. I panicked, went to my GP who wasn't bothered but he did book me into the EPAU. I had an early scan which showed a little splodge on the screen with a beating heart! The doctor there said that unless I bleed red and 'quite a bit', then I don't need to worry.
What sort of pain are you experiencing? If it is a little bit of cramping, a sharp twinge now and again; this is completely normal. It is your body changing to prepare for your baby; growing pains if you like. If it is more constant along with red blood, then you should contact your GP/EPAU.
This site is good for some advice, but although some people mean well, there is a bit of scare mongering. If you are worried and concerned, then contact the professionals.
Dont worry about the discharge it is normal. With my first I had it and noticed it more when I went to the loo and wiped, it put the fear of god into me as I instantly thought mc and contacted my docs. I got reffered for an early scan at 6weeks and everything was fine. It happened again at 8 weeks. After experiencing a mc last Dec I now realise how minor the discharge was. I think your pain is probably yout uterus expanding itself for the little jelly bean that is growing in there which may be causing the discharge.
If your pains turn to stabbing pains and you start losing blood then I would contact A&E immediatly.
