When you have a scan and the sonographer says your 9w, is that exactly 9 weeks since conception? If so, in Drs speak that would make you officially 11 weeks, right?
Or are they saying you're 7 weeks, but 9 weeks since your last period?

Im guessing the sonographer meant 9wks exactly. The main point of a scan is to get an exact growth & weight picture of the baby.
It is confusing the way how they calculate the pregnancy but i believe the sonograph is the most accurate picture.
Yes it is 9 weeks forget about the conception bit. . Even though the clear blue digital tests are fantastic thinks it's easy to confuse. ..ur date may change again at ur 12 week scan x
Sonographer means week 9 out of your 40 week pregnancy, and yeah dates may be tweaked a little based on your ovulation and Conception when they measure bubba to make adjustments at 12 week scan then your EDD will be Clearer. Babies still come when they want so it's a guide in case they come early and his much to leg you go over depending on health and placenta quality etc, I hope you have you'd next scan booked in to look forward too?
