What weeks do you have scans

Hya all new to here , just wanting some advice this is my first pregnancy just wanting to no what weeks you have scans, iv been for my dating scan and just had 12 week scan, I’m 13 weeks 1 day but my next scans not til I’m 21 weeks pregnant , I always thought you had one in between at 16 weeks did any of you lady’s have one in between , just panicking thinking I should have one at 16 weeks and maybe they’ve forgot about me 😂😂 xxxxx

You normally only get one at 12 weeks and 20 weeks x

Normally just have the 2 - one at 12 and one 20 ish weeks. You have a midwife appointment at 16 weeks though if that’s what you’re thinking of?

Thank you yeah that’s probably what I’m thinking off as iv only been to see a midwife once and that was when I first found out I was pregnant , thank you Iknow now I haven’t been forgotten lol x x x

Hello I’m 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant I’m also pregnant with my first, I am only having a 12 week and 20 week scan, I Think that they used to do more scans, you also will have growth scans aswell xx

Thank you , I’m also pregnant with my first so didn’t no how many scans you have , because a lot of people who have already had children said they had one at 16 weeks so think your right they used to do more scans , I just thought it was a big gap to wait for another scan at least Iknow now xxx

It’s just the two scans unless you have any health concerns then they will scan you more. X

Yep only 2, 12 & 20w unless you have issues you can get private scan if you want.

I had a few throughout my pregnancy. My BMI was just over what it should be and we've also had 2 miscarriages. We had 12, 20, 28 and 32 weeks then I had 2 growth scans. One being around 36 weeks then went in hospital at 37+4 weeks with reduced movements and they scanned me and said as our son was on the bigger side and this was our second time with reduced movements so they induced me at 38 weeks xx

2 scans is standard. 12 & 20 wks.Midwife will see you regularly about 4 weekly to start off then goes down as you get closer to the end. They will measure you after 20w appointment and will start listening to the fetal heart. Blood pressure and urine check is routine. One set of blood at beggining then around 28 weeks. This is the standard... if there are any concerns they will increase scans/blood as needed.

Should I have seen my midwife more the once then , I only saw a midwife when I first found out I was pregnant haven’t had another appointment since or do you go 4 weekly after 20 week scan xx

No it's about that with scans and midwife ... if you look in your pregnancy notes at the front there is a exact time outline

I’m confused sorry it doesn’t take me much to get confused 😂 I haven’t got pregnancy note, it’s all different all my pregnancy notes are online and it doesn’t say anything on there when I log in

My notes are online but if you go on nhs website there is a time line. But no I'm classed as a high risk pregnancy and still only seen midwife twice and I'm 26 weeks on Monday. I've seen consultant once but not seeing midwife till 16 weeks on first pregnancy is normal
