got my very first scan Tuesday! Can't contain my exciting but still really worried as I do wonder if nothing's going to be there! Lol

How much so scans cost?

ahh thats soo lovely, i felt a bit like u and was soo overwhelmed when the little munchkin appeared on the screen, i have my next scan in 2 weeks so am excited too. unless u have paid for it privately then its free its only if u want a copy of the pics then u have to pay but depends what part of country u live, I had to pay £5 for 2 but it varies. xx

Yippee for your scan being so soon! I thought the similar things... what if there is nothing there or cola can in there or an alien or a potato! I cried before I even got anywhere near the hospital. It is a great experience to see the little person. If you're the emotional type then remember the packet of tissues and usually about £5 for picture of the scan! Enjoy the experience! xxx

My scan is on the 17th I'm really nervous I just it hurry up and come I never felt like this with others x

How exciting!! We only just got a positive on the test still a while before we are at this stage!

I would take about £10 in pound coins and you'll cover all possible costs as every hospital is different. Good luck with your scan! Very exciting!

Yeah! My 1st scan for this baby is just over 3wks away (The longest 3wks of my life) Considering ive been waiting since March for this.

Oooo how exciting, it is amazing the first scan, try and stay positive, I cried all way to hospital even though I had an early scan at 8 weeks, I was still nervous as hell...but the minute you are told there's baby your jaw will hit the floor. Bubs do not always play ball at dating scan, mine didn't, was sitting bolt upright & we couldn't get to lie so I was sent off for a walk and a drink, fill bladder etc so be prepared, many girls the morning I was there were being sent away and told to come back in about 15 mins. I couldn't be dated that 1st time so saw bubs again 3 weeks after

My NHS trust charges £5 for 2 scan pics.

Hey everyone!

well I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks!! & had so much trouble booking an appointment with a midwife I am now 14 weeks 1 day! & this is the most excited I've been throughout my pregnancy as I am still very ill

I called the hospital where I am going to scans are £5 each or 3 for £10

I know that as soon as it comes onto the screen I'm gonna start to cry hehe (fingers crossed its not a pain) lol
