Hopfully your baby should turn by wk37 but if she/he dosen't i've heard midwifes can perform certain exercises on your stomach "usually a few weeks before the expected date of delivery" i guess it not always 100% but its worth a try as you mentioned you want a home birth.

Sorry to be a bit nosey but im guessing this is not your 1st pregnancy, has this happened in your previous pregnancies.

This is my first pregnancy. My midwife said if my baby hasn't turned by 36 weeks I'll have a scan and I will either be offered a turn or a c section. Don't want either to be honest as would like as little intervention as possible. Have you had a breech baby?

this is my 2nd pregnancy & no my 1st child wasn't breech he was something called transverse up until wk36.

He was a stubborn boy though & still is alot of the time. haha

I was breech (SVD - attempts at cephalic version in early labour failed), so risk of the same is higher for Flump :-/. Breech babies apparently have 'hidden depths and are destined for greatness' if you listen to old wives tales!!

Well I can tell she's going to be very stubborn as she just won't move! How did you find the ECV? I am measuring 5cm small as well which I don't think helps. Baby is growing fine though at each scan. Did you end up having a c section? If so when do they do it? 39 weeks??

my friend done this and it worked, get on all fours on the floor and sway ur bottom from side to side on a like figure 8 movement xx

I was told today, at 37 weeks that my baby is breech :( she has been since 29 weeks, I think, the midwives missed it but the scans at 29, 33 and today showed she is. Today they gave me information on The Alexander Technique to try and turn her myself (although I think it is too late and it says on the leaflet it should be done at 36 weeks) and have booked me in for an ECV tomorrow. If that doesn't work then we have to book in for a section :(

I would try and start performing this technique now, as I think it would be more likely to work. I looked on Google for you, but I couldn't find a whole lot of info on it's specifics. There are YouTube videos about exercises though?

I haven't heard of the Alexander Technique but will look it up, thank you. I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow so will see what the plan is. If the ECV doesn't work for you have they said when they would book you in for a c section?

I hope it goes well! Fingers crossed x

There's a 40-50% chance of the ECV working and if it doesn't they said they would ideally book me in for 39 weeks. Although this is in Edinburgh, I don't know if that maybe depends on hospital policy? Hope you can manage to turn him/ her!
