i have not had a period since january but not pregnant.

Im 31 years old.I havent had a period since the 7th of january my periods are always regular as i was on the pill. I stopped taking the pill in december had one period last in january and nothing since this has never happend before .Im not pregnant as i have taken about 5 tests all negitive.I come off the pill to start to try for a baby .Has enyone else having a problem like this?

the pill can muck your system up and can take a few months to settle down, id pop and see ur g.p and see what they say x

thanks for your advise . its good to hear it might just be my body trying to ajust you read other stories and your mind sometimes runs away with you thinking the worst.Im going to make a appointment tomra .thank you x

I used to get the same thing when I came off the pill. It's recommended that you give yourself a few months to get back to normal before trying to conceive. I used to find that stress and diet changes would interfere with my cycle however when I started going to Zumba classes and tried to loose weight by going on a healthy eating regime, I fell pregnant. So I suppose the thing to do is to not get anxious about getting pregnant but just enjoy it. Your GP can confirm by blood test to see if you are definitely not pregnant incase you are worried. It's horrible not knowing though, you find yourself talking yourself into it and then a week later you have your period.

I came off the pill in dec when I found out I had been caught out as I messed up on the pill and got pregnant. I had a mc a couple of weeks later. I went 14weeks without a period so thought I was pregnant again. Did a test on the 15th Feb which was negative so had some bloods taken on the 5th March which reveled I was actually 7 weeks pregnant. Best thing to do is contact your GP tell them your story and ask them to take bloods to check your Hormone levels. I think normal hormone levels are 35 (dont quote me on that I can't remember if she said 35 or 300) mine were 2000 on my first set of bloods then had gone up to 20,000 on the 2nd lot. when I came off the pill, my periods were all over the place, for the first few months I didn't actually know when I was going to come on as I was all over the place. It took me a year to conceive as the pill can take up to 2yrs to come out ur system. I took pregnancy tests as there were months when I was 10 days late but yeh if ur unsure see ur gp and see what they say.

When I came off cerrazette (sp?) it took me 6-7 weeks for a period then to get them regular it took another 4 months. It then took me another 2 month's to get pregnant and im now 38 weeks.

Could be your body trying to sort itself out, I'd check with the tp if you are concerned.

When I came off the pill I had one period & then no more for four months. Then they started up again as normal. It's annoying if you're trying for a baby as you just want to get on with it, but I was told it's nothing to worry about.
