I had my implant out in early January and am pregnant already. I haven't had a period for months and months. How will they date it?

I've had implants since Jan 2006 so haven't had a natural period in 7 years. According to a digital pregnancy test I'm 2-3 weeks.

First of all congrats!!

I suffer from a lack of periods so dating my pregnancy was never going to be easy! make an appointment at the doctors and you will be reffered for a dating scan as soon as poss.

from there you can make an appointment with the midwife. i've had 3 pregnancy all having to be dated by scan.

I stopped taking the pill because I was having periods every other week and getting very irritable. Then I didn't have any periods for a few months, so I wasn't sure how to date mine either. I had a rough idea of when I get pregnant but at my 12 week scan the sonographer dated me a week later. Sonographers are amazing, they'll be able to tell you :O)
