Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a change in heart rhythm? I am 8-9 weeks PG and I am noticing odd heart rhythms and sometimes the heart thuds? Anyone else had or experiencing this? Books say that they can be normal and are due to the increase in blood volume.

Oh yes! I'm 20 weeks my heart beat is faster and sometimes I feel it will jump out of my chest. Very common due to extra blood supply and your body working harder to build a new life x
I heard its he same as online running round the block, that's how much harder the heart is working, up to twenty beats more per minute.
Thank you, when I mention this to my partner he wants me to ring the midwife but I have just thought I would monitor it for now. I had him listen one day and he said its ok, I said listen longer and then he heard it stop...you should have seen the look on his face....I have also had the one where it feels like its trying to leap though the ribs or do a few quicker beats.
I have 5 flights of stairs to climb at work sometimes (we do have a lift but I like the exercise) and have noticed that this past week I have been breathless by time I get to the top and when I try to speak its like I have just run around the block.
I might check my pulse and see if I am running faster then pre preggers X
It could be that but mention it to gp, as I kept having same and it was due to Anemia and started tablets and its stopped now, just get it checked over
I'm not sure they check all ur level as I was 22 wks preg wen I saw a locus and it was him that said to me I looked anaemic as I was grey and I'd bin like that for whole pregnancy, to b safe ask them
Am having more bloods and ECG next Friday as he heard me skipping beats. Said I looked healthy considering I been riddled with cold virus best part of the week. At least it gettings checked out
