Strange question!

Hi I am 21 + 5 days pregnant and have pains at the very top on my inside legs. Has anyone suffered from this? I did have an operation to have my appendix removed two weeks ago but I doubt it's related. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it could be SPD!! Google it, but it's when your pelvis softens too much and separates a bit too far! Nothing to worry about I have it, it is painful but I have been told it will go away after baby is born! The inside of my legs hurt when I'm getting in and out of the car, climbing stairs and putting trousers on etc. i have found it easier to rest when it's hurting too much and see the physio for a brace to support your bump, I have one that goes tight round my hips to pull my pelvis together. I would speak to your midwife to double check just to be safe tho. I hope this helps xx

I have it as well.i'm afraid you'll have to live with it till your baby is born.i went for physio but all they gave me was some advice.i need to put cold compress as that area is little bit swollen,i need to sit on the gym ball while watching tv(but cant bounce as it could push baby down),cant do excercising(was doing pilates on the beginning),i have a back& bump support pillow (the best thing i could investe),when you sitting join your knees together, the same when you get out of bed, cant walk too much because i'll end up with cruches(but i cant avoid walking so i guess it wont get better in my case).some days it hurts so much that all i can do is rest.but hopefully after baby arrives i'll be free of pain(9weeks to go...).you can make self refferal for physio now.i told my midwife but she's not really bothered about anything...:( xx

Is it like a burning pain? I usually get it in the evenings for reason! X

Thanks ladies, no it's like a pulled muscle pain. Get it when walking, climbing stairs and standing up from sitting xx

It's your pelvis. I'm 28 weeks tomorrow and mine started about the same time as you. Sometimes is more painful than others. I find I have to take small steps when walking now. I used to be a fast strider! And like Kazzacollie, I notice it when getting out of the car. Just one of those things to put up with. Some people can be in a lot of pain with it though. My cousin was on crutches. Talk to your midwife next time you see her x

I feel your pain I suffer with SPD and have crutches and support for bump although at this stage 38+6 find it doesn't really help. The best thing is as much rest as you can and plenty of warm baths. When you walk and turn in bed try to keeps your legs together this can sometimes help. This is my 3rd pregnancy and had severe SPD with my 2nd also but be reassured it does go after birth although not immediately. Ask for a referral to a physio they do suggest exercises that help!! Good luck x

I have this on my left leg on the outside... If I lean on it and stuff it helps if when your relaxing on the sofa or in bed keep your legs up a little bit higher than your body... It's helped me anyways lol xxx
