Night feeds

I'm currently 5 months pregnant and I am a very deep sleeper and nothing will wake me up. I'm worried I won't hear the baby crying in the night for feeds or whatever. Help please :(

Hiya, I wondered this too, but as I get further along in my pregnancy I'm sleeping less and not as deep.

I'm a very deep sleeper as is my mum! When she was in hospital after having me, me and her both slept through a practice fire alarm! Everyone was amazed and thought like u that she wouldn't here me for a feed to which my mum replied I can assure u that if that baby makes so much as a grunt I would b up like a shot. I'm the middle child of 3 and we were all very well looked after.

You will find that as soon as ur baby makes the slightest noise u will b up! It sounds weird but you won't sleep as deeply as ur used to. My 3yo was in my room till 10 months old and if he cried I would b up with him rather than my boyfriend who is generally a much lighter sleeper than me , but probably since 1yo if my son wakes in the night, if he's not well or something its generally his dad to get up to c him as I don't hear him like I used to.

I enjoy me sleep very much and if I only get 8 hrs a night on a reg basis I'm a tired grumpy nightmare!

I'm 12 weeks tomorro with my 2nd and I have to say since 6 weeks iv regularly been going bed at t time! Till 7/8 in the morning when my son gets up and I'm still feeling tired! Been feeling so sick, iv lost a stone in weight since my symptoms kicked in at 7 weeks!

If I got up, u will get up! Ur instincts just kick in.

I have always been a deep sleeper and I can sleep just about anywhere. My daughter is 5 months old and I always wake up when she makes a noise. As jds123 says above, your instincts will kick in.

Best of luck with your pregnancy.
