2nd of many questions... any help appreciated....

right..... i have been part of early pregnancy unit due to slight bleeding during my 6th week. im now at my 8 week stage and last night started having slight cramping. nothing bad or that i need to worry about. but this morning i went for a wee and when i looked down my toilet my wee was completely brown. with tiny brown bitty discharge when i wiped. this has happened twice this morning (2nd not as much as 1st) i am in middle of getting rid of a kidney infection. can anyone help me? had scan friday and everything was fine, heartbeat was nice and strong and i have a wriggler, but being my 1st pregnancy i am a worrier. x

Due to a kidney infection I would think your urine would be dark due to the infection and antibiotics.

Are u drinking at least two litres of water a day if not u really must try!

U will get increased discharge in pregnancy, the fact that its brown is either a bit of old blood in it or the colour of your wee on the tissue as u wipe!

I would finish your antibiotics then go to our gp ad ask for a urine test so they can make sure there is no unusual levels of protein and ketones or sign of infection.

thank you. i am trying to drink as much water as possible. i have the bad sicky feeling to go with the pregnancy so im sipping away constantly. cannot guarantee im drinking 2 litres though :/ i know ive had a scan and HB was fine but it worries me as a few days have been since then and now this is happening. i just hope its my body clearing out the infection x

I had a bleed / dark brown blood last week I was in a right state worrying that something had happened. So I went to a private hospital and got a scan and all was fine!! I was told it was more than likely old blood this continued for about four days now my discharge is all clear. Sometimes there's never an explanation for these things. i had this slightly 2 weeks ago. but it was literally all my wee this morning which scared me a little. and the niggles im getting in my belly dont help. ive emailed the early pregnancy unit as i work within the hospital anyway. so fingers crossed the nurse gets back to me. xx

woke up at 4am this morning for a wee. toilet was bright red. i was so worried. i dont know if it looks more as it was in the toilet. and it was like tiny fleshy bits in it. i got small niggles in my belly but thought thats part of pregnancy. anyway, been to toilet since and it was perfectly normal. but i can feel something in my knickers now. im on my way up to EPAU for a scan. Wish my luck x

Hi i hope everything is ok for you. With my first 2 pregnancies i had bleeding around week 11-13, this was caused by a water infection. My first pregnancy i knew i had a water infection but my 2nd pregnancy i started to bleed but didn't have the common signs of a uti. I know it is very scary. It was 2 weeks before i found the cause of the bleed. I did have a scan at the beginning of he bleed so was told everything was fine but it is hard not to worry. I know have 2 healthy children ages 2 & 7 years. Currently 29+6 with my third and had a slight uti at beginning of but luckily no bleeding this time. all fine thank god! strong heartbeat on my wriggler. see a small patch where the bleed is coming from but the consultant who done my internal was happy with everything. thank you xx
